“It is such a gift to be alive. It will not last forever.
As we embrace this truth that our life will end,
it intensifies our joy and celebration of living.”

In celebration of life’s complexity, Kim has traveled to Calcutta to meet Mother Theresa; journeyed to South Africa to witness the AIDS pandemic; assisted over 25 women in giving birth; and helped others prepare for their deaths.
Kim is a Spirit Doula. Her mission is to assist others in birthing their most authentic self into the world with compassion and courage. Kim grounds herself in the reality that the only thing we are guaranteed in life is that we will die. Walking with death as her companion amplifies and sweetens her mission and encourages her to stay open to life’s invitations.
Kim uses writing and photography to guide her journey and to help her stay grounded in each courageous “Yes!”. Her memoir, Spirit Embraced: A Guiding Memoir for a Life Authentic and Free won a 2019 Nautilus Award and a 2022 American Bookfest Award.
Km savors life in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and son.
